Akıncı had a telephone conversation with Hammond

PAkinci and Hammondresident Mustafa Akıncı had a telephone conversation with UK’s Secretary of State Philip Hammond yesterday.

Hammond reiterated Britain’s support for the negotiation process. In response, President Akıncı emphasized the importance of constructive approaches of Britain to the process.

Martyr Lieutenant Caner Gönyeli 2016 Search and Rescue Exercise started

Martyr Lieutenant Caner Gönyeli 2016 Search and Rescue ExerciseMartyr Lieutenant Caner Gönyeli 2016 Search and Rescue Exercise” started yesterday. The exercise will continue until Thursday, 9 June 2016 in the region of Girne St.Hilarion (101 Houses).

The Exercise will also be performed in the Famagusta offshore area. Martyr Lieutenant Caner Gönyeli 2016 Search and Rescue Exercise will be held with the participation of the civil and military factors of the Republic of Turkey and the TRNC……. 

Cyprus Turkish – Kyrgyz Business Cooperation Forum

The opening ceremony of the Cyprus Turkish-Kyrgyz Business Forum was held last Monday (30th May) at the Park Hotel in Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, TRNC Bishkek Representative Dr. Tayseer Al Shanableh pointed out the importance of the cooperation between Cyprus Turkish and Kyrgyz people especially in the business world. The Cyprus Turkish-Kyrgyz Business Forum continued with a panel and workshop, and also meetings were held between the business people from the TRNC and Kyrgyz co –sector representatives.

In addition, TRNC Bishkek Representative Dr. Tayseer Al Shanableh and President of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce Fikri Toros exchanged their ideas regarding forming a cooperation between the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce which operates in Kyrgyzstan.
