Burcu: “We have made significant progress on four chapters”
Presidential Spokesperson Barış Burcu stated that significant progress has been made on four chapters and added that developments regarding the territory issue are being discussed in a positive atmosphere.
Burcu stated that President Mustafa Akıncı and Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Anastasiades have begun to address the criteria at the heart of the territory issue during their negotiations in Mont Pelerin and added that the two leaders will continue to discuss the criteria on the territory issue as well today.
Burcu added that the meetings in Mont Pelerin are going well and as planned.
Barış Burcu said that if an agreement is reached on the criteria of the territory issue, then working on a map would be on the agenda, as well as determining a date for the five-party conference where “security and guarantees” would be discussed…….
Çavuşoğlu: “We want the issues of territory, property, guarantees and security to be the last issues to be discussed in the Cyprus talks”
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu referred to the Cyprus negotiation process that is taking place in Mont Pelerin in Switzerland under the auspices of the UN and said that the both sides are working to make progress on the issues of territory, property, guarantees and security.
Stating that Turkey wants the issue of territory, property, guarantees and security to be the last issues to be discussed, Çavuşoğlu emphasized once again that it is out of the question to give concessions on the guarantee issue.
The “6th International Republic Classic Car Rally” to be held on 11-13 November
The “6th International Republic Classic Car Rally” will be held between 11-13 November 2016 within the framework of the anniversary of the establishment of the TRNC.
The Rally, which will start with the slalom races on Friday, November 11 will continue on Sunday, November 13 with the main race and with the participation of overseas teams.
